Q & A

ALL ABOUT NGV

1.   WHAT IS NGV?

NGV stands for NATURAL GAS VEHICLE.

2.WHAT IS CNG?

CNG is compressed natural gas. CNG ignition ranges from 5% -15% gases to air ratio, if there is not enough or too much air natural gas will not ignite.

3. HOW SAFE IS NGV?

Natural gas is very safe, being lighter than air and evaporates when in contact with air. In the event of an accident, natural gas simply dissipates into the air

instead of forming a dangerous flammable pool on the ground like other liquid fuels for an example like petrol. Natural gas has a higher ignition temperature

630ºC compared to petrol (450ºC). This makes NG less explosive and thus safer. All NGV cylinders are designed to withstand severe abuse, gunshots, and

dynamite and tested against fire and car- crashes.

 4.      WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FOR NGV?

·         Save petrol cost up to 70%

·         Safety

·         Lower maintenance

·         Environmental benefits( Less CO and CO2 emission, it reduces almost 60% of CO  emission normally produced by petrol driven cars).

·         Green car, Environmental freindly

·         Reduction of Annual Road Tax up to 25% or 50%

·         Engine parts like spark plugs, engine oil, oil filter and exhaust system stay

·         cleaner, thus, NGV users can expect lower maintenance costs

 ·         NGV gas tanks and kits are certified by ISO, SIRIM, DOSH MAT S.A, passes

·         1 year Warranty or 60,000km

5. CNG CYLINDERS

Italy,  Korea, Brazil, Italy, China and Argentina ..Size: 40L,50L, 55L, 60L, 65L, 70L, 77L, 80L, 100L

6. HOW ARE NGVS OPERATED?

Most NGV operate using compressed natural gas (CNG). This compressed gas is stored in a similar fashion to a car’s petrol tank, attached to rear, top, or

undercarriage of the vehicle in a tube shaped storage tank. A CNG tank can be filled in a similar manner, and in a similar amount of the time, to petrol tank. This

natural gas fuels a combustion engine similar to engines fueled by other sources. However, in a NGV, several components require modification to allow the

engine to run efficiently on natural gas.

7.     NGV WILL DAMAGE MY CAR?

NO. NGV is better on your engine because the combustion of NGV gas is more complete and leaves very little residue of carbon as in the case of petrol driven

vehicles. This enables extended engine oil change period at longer intervals. Spark plug life will also be prolonged. Replacement of other engine parts such as

rings, plugs, and oil filters will be less frequent and thus reduce on the overall maintenance of your vehicle.

8.     HOW DURABLE AND STRONG IS NGV TANKS AND CONVERSION KITS?

A NGV cylinder can last up to 20 years. All our cylinders and conversion kits are imported from world’s top manufacturers, Italy, Argentina and

Brazil. All tanks are designed to withstand severe abuse, gunshots, and dynamite and tested against fire and car-crashes. Our cylinders and conversion kits are

approved and certified by SIRIM, DOSH and JPJ Malaysia. Natural gas storage tanks on NGV are stronger and harder that that petrol tanks. They are built to

withstand extreme high pressured and are tested at 4,350 pounds per square inch (psi) or 30 mega Pascal therefore is less hazardous in case of collision  .

9.  IS NGV SUITABLE FOR ALL KINDS OF VEHICLES?

YES. NGV is suitable for all kinds of vehicles.
